[ Live Without You Blog Tour // Victoria's Book Nook ]

lwy blog tour blog

*squeal*   *scream*   *sigh* GUYYYYYSSSS! Sarah Grace Grzy's lovely little book has FINALLY released and I get to be here today to share all about it with you guys!! 😘

// About The Book
Piper Redding is a loner, but lonely. Everyone she loves has abandoned her and opening her heart to others is just asking for more pain. She can’t help but blame herself for her brother’s tragic death six years ago, and in her guilt, she shuts herself off from the world. No one could love her—not even the God who promised to be there for her but wasn’t.

For paramedic Ezra Bryant, failure is not an option. He’s had enough of it, and only by God’s grace is he able to put it behind him. But when a traumatic event brings Piper’s greatest fear and Ezra’s failures to light, can they use that event to allow God to mend their broken pieces? Can love triumph over fear, and grace over guilt?

// My Review.
This book was SO sweet and darling and even more amazing becasue Sarah Grace wrote it. It was an absolutely amazing debut novel. *sigh sigh*
Piper was such a sweet amazing character. She had trouble having a postive outlook on life, which changed after her and rekindled their old friendship.
One of my very favorite things from this book was all the Christian Content and Themes throughout th ebook. I felt like the overall message Sarah Grace put in, came across very clearly. adn it was very refreshing compared to other "Christian" fiction. There was lots of Bible Verses and dicussion that I very much enjoyed.
Another thing I very greatly appreciated was how clean it was! The romance side of it went deeper th e outward apperance and the character's were all swoony and disgusting and super awkward in front of the other. I appreciated it so much!
The whole plot was AH-MAZ-INGGGGG and I cannot recommend it enough. Piper's past hurt of losing her brother and overcoming  that grief was very well done. I also loved Piper's love for reading...😉😉
Ezra was an equally fabulous character. He had a humorous side and a serious side which came out at the right times.
Overall, I absolutely loved thsi book and HIGHly recommend it!
 Also, this cover is gooorrrrgeeeoussss. 😍

// About Sarah Grace Grzy.
Sarah Grace Grzy is a voracious reader, and if it weren’t for this crazy thing called 'Life,' she’d be tempted to spend all her days in front of a wood stove, book in one hand, coffee mug in the other.

A lover of learning, she finds enjoyment in many things and has more hobbies than she knows what to do with. Sarah Grace is a freelance web and graphic designer, and when not working, spending time with her ever-growing family, or reading, she can be found painting, playing the piano, or fangirling with her sisters and friends. She inhabits the State of Great Lakes, and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else—unless it meant she could have a baby penguin, in which case, she’d gladly move to the South Pole.

[ Holding the Fort by Regina Jennings // victoria’s book nook ]

Hey guys! Victoria here today, on this sunny, day bringing you a book review about a sweet book I got for Christmas!

My Thoughts
Holding The Fort was a sweet story that I greatly enjoyed. the whole plot was just so much fun!! Louisa was so likeable, as well as Caroline and Daisy! I found myself eagerly turning pages at midnight several nights not caring that my eyes were as dry as the desert. 🌵
I loved the setting. It was just o unique, bc it's a real place! You can actually go visit Fort Reno today, if you have the money for a plane ticket ;)
I had very few dislikes but one of them was Daniel. I felt like he didn't have much of a personality, and was really bland but he ok all the same. 😉
This was book one in the Fort Reno series by Regina Jennings and you can find book 1.5, Tried and True, and book 2, The Lieutenants Bargain, both of which I am very excited to read!!
Questionable Content
There was nothing I found to be "bad" in this book. It was super clean!
Note: One scene is the Officer measuring Louisa's back and shoulders for a dress but nothing happens. A mentions of how white Louisa's skin is, and a few kisses that aren't detailed.
Rating: 4.5/5 stars.
I loved this book and immediately fell in love with the whole cast of characters! 😍🙌🏻 Highly recommend!
Thanks for reading! 😘

{ The Daily Life Of Hailey Grace Blog Tour // victoria's book nook }

Hey guys! I'm here today sharing an interview with a new author, Beloved! She recently published her first novel, The Dailey Life Of Hailey Grace. ;D

about the book:

For Hailey Grace, birthdays suck! She hopes with all her heart that her big day passes without gifts, or even a birthday wish. But with loving parents and two witty best friends who keep her on her toes, there’s no telling what adventure Hailey Grace will be forced to explore this time. Unexpectedly, her best friend Alex challenges her to do something she’s never done before. With that comes a whole new set of rules, and another life Hailey isn’t sure she’s quite ready for. Now questioning all that she has ever believed, she takes Alex up on the dare by asking for something that no one but God can give her. Her request also comes with a twenty-four-hour deadline. As the minutes slowly but surely tick by, Hailey’s life shifts into overdrive and she wonders if she has asked for too much too soon.

// Interview With Beloved.

// What inspired your newest novel??   Jesus inspired my newest novel, and the desire to see a young average person really come to believe and trust God whole heartily. I never had a friend like Hailey Grace, and I always thought it would be really cool to have someone like her in my circle of friends.

 // Could you tell us a little bit about your journey to publishing?

   My journey to publishing was simply searching for a publishing house who was willing to accept my book without compromising the message, and the overall content of my novelAlthough my original plan was to self-publish, I learned a lot having taken the route that I did take. Throughout the process I’ve gained knowledge that would ultimately help me with my future publications.

 // Do you plan on writing sequels to The Daily Life Of Hailey Grace?

    Oh yes! There will be two more books in the Hailey Grace Series.

// What’s one piece of advice you would give to new authors??

  One piece of advice I would give to new authors is PRAY!!! Let God order your steps and direct your paths. Take your time and don’t rush the process. Enjoy every step of the journey and don’t accept anything less than God’s best. No matter what.

  // Who are some of your personal favorite authors??
     My personal favorite author is Collen Coble. I also enjoy Karen Kingsbury, Janette Oke, and Beverly Lewis. That’s just to name a few.

Thanks for agreeing to do an interview!

Be sure to go pick up a copy of this book if your interested! If you have read this, what were your thoughts on it??

PS. My friend Kennedi started a blog and would appreciate it if you checked it out!!

[ A Bound Heart, by Laura Frantz Review // victoria's book nook ]

Hello everyone! I know, it's only Monday and your probably sick of me since I literally just posted, here I am again witha review I was required to write today. On a very good book indeed!!

:: :: :: :: :: :: :: :: :: :: :: ::
Title: A Bound Heart
Author: Laura Frantz
Publisher: Revell, a division of Baker Publishing.
Length: 406 pages.
Release Date: January 2019.
Genre: Historical with light romance.

A Bound Heart was a lovely, historical novel set it Scotland, in the mid-1700's. Frantz has such a beautiful writing style that quickly draws you in.
One thing I espicially appreciated was how well researched the history was. It was vibrant and the book was full of interetsing history.
Lark was one of my favorite characters ever. finally, a book where the two main characters don't have a "bad past" or past tragedy so they "scared to love again" (that drives me innnnnsaaannnneeee). Magnus was also a character I loved too, he was very well rounded and his loyalty to his Father was very fresh in the Christian Fiction market. For once, a character thats not rebellious or has past regrets!
The storyline was very intruiging and pulled you in. From the ball, to the scenes on the ship, and all the way to Virginia, this book will keep you hooked until you turn the last page.
i wasn't sure what to think of the love triangle at first but it was very quickly cleared and thinsg were set straight which I very much appreciated.
There was still a few dislikes. it was hard (at least to me) to follow along at some points, different names, Scottish words and slang made me lower my rating a bit.
I would still recommend this to people who are looking for a good clean Christian Fiction book full of history!
I'm definitely going to be reading more by Laura Frantz in the near future, starting with A Moonbow Night. ;D

Overall rating: 4/5 stars.

“I received a free copy of this in exchange for an honest review through the publishers. All opinions are my own.”

Thanks for reading!
What were your thoughts on A Bound Heart?? Have you read anything by Laura Frantz?

See you with a new post on Friday!!
